Women’s cycling is accelerating. Harder races. Stronger competition. Bigger goals. At Posedla, we’re proud to stand alongside a team that aims high. Because when talent meets uncompromising technology, discomfort stops being the limit.

Women’s cycling is no longer a “side program”

The growth of women’s cycling isn’t a trend. It’s a structural shift.

  • More media exposure

  • More professional races

  • A higher performance level

One project that represents this shift is the women’s squad racing under the VIF Cycling Team banner. Their ambition is clear: build a strong development team, systematically prepare riders for the highest level of world cycling, and one day line up at the start of Tour de France Femmes.

That kind of goal requires more than talent.

It requires system. Details. Technology.

And that’s where we come in.

Performance is measure in millimeters

Kristýna Zemanová claimed her fifth Czech National Cyclocross Championship title this year riding on our saddle and repeatedly finished in the TOP 10 in the World Cup.

At the highest level, big revolutions don’t decide results. Small differences do:

  • More stable pelvis

  • Even pressure distribution

  • More efficient power transfer

  • Less energy lost due to discomfort

The saddle is one of the three key contact points between the rider and the bike. If it limits stability, it limits performance. If it respects anatomy, it allows the rider to go longer and more efficiently.

A season that tests everything

The team faces a packed international calendar. Stage races, UCI starts, demanding profiles.

One of the highlights on the domestic scene will be Tour de Feminin – an international stage race set against the backdrop of Northern Bohemia and Czech Switzerland.

Technical courses. Wind. Tactics.

And several hours a day in the saddle.

Stage races reveal the truth:

  • The quality of recovery

  • The reliability of equipment

  • Long-term ergonomics

A small saddle issue multiplies over five stages. That’s why the foundation must be set correctly.

Female anatomy is not a smaller version of male anatomy

Yet for years, the market treated it that way.

Women generally have:

  • A wider sit bone distance

  • Different pelvic rotation

  • Different soft tissue distribution

  • Higher sensitivity to pressure points

Despite that, the market long offered a limited range of widths and shapes.

The result? Compromise.

And compromise in saddle design means:

  • Pelvic instability

  • Loss of pedaling efficiency

  • Pressure where it doesn’t belong

  • Limited performance

If the pelvis lacks proper support, the body compensates with other muscles. That costs energy. And energy is the limiting factor in elite sport.

Why individualization is key

If a Czech women’s team wants to grow to World Tour level, it cannot think in averages.

At Posedla, we use 3D printing and measurement data to create a saddle based on the real anatomy of a specific rider.

Every butt is different

That means:

  • Width based on actual sit bone measurements

  • Working with pressure mapping data

  • A structure with controlled flexibility

  • Individual geometry instead of universal sizing

The goal isn’t just comfort. The goal is:

  • Neutral pelvic position

  • Efficient power transfer

  • Reduced compensatory movement

  • Long-term sustainable performance

In women’s cycling, where anatomical diversity has long been overlooked -individualization matters even more.

A development team needs development technology

The ambition to one day start at Tour de France Femmes requires systematic work. That includes:

  • Structured athletic development

  • International experience

  • Professional support

  • Technology that keeps pace

A saddle may seem like a detail. In reality, it influences every minute of training and racing.

When pressure and instability disappear, the rider can focus solely on performance.

And that’s the point.

We are at the beginning. And that’s what excites us most.

Women’s cycling no longer stands in the shadow. It stands at the start of a new chapter.

And we want to be part of the journey that may one day lead to the start line of Tour de France Femmes.

We will support. We will develop. We will push forward.

Because when discomfort disappears, pure performance remains.

And that’s what truly matters. 🚴
