Terms and conditions for Joyseat PLUS / PRO / ULTRA
Key points from Terms & Conditions (full text below):
- An order is created upon payment for the Joyseat saddle.
- We ship the Smiling Butt Kit (SBK) to make an impression of your buttocks for the production of your custom saddle.
- Once we receive your SBK photos, we start producing your saddle. The estimated production and shipping time is 3 weeks for PLUS, 4 weeks for PRO, and 4 weeks for ULTRA. During busy times, delivery may be delayed by up to two weeks.
- For mechanically damaged saddles, e.g. by crash, we offer new saddle production at up to a 50% discount, assessed individually.
- The customer is obliged to provide all materials necessary for the production of the custom-made product (e.g. photographs, configuration data from the online configurator, etc.) within 12 months of the conclusion of the contract.
- If the customer does not provide materials within 12 months, the contract is treated as fulfilled and no refund is possible.
- Custom Products are made specifically for you. Once production has started, comfort-based returns or cancellations are no longer possible. For this reason, we provide our customers with the 100% Confidence & Care program.

Preview your saddle before the production starts
You will first receive an email with your measured sit bone distance and an estimated saddle width based on your submitted data.
You have 48 hours from the delivery of this email to notify us of any objections or data-related corrections.The final Saddle Birth Certificate (Joysheet), including a visual preview of your custom saddle, is provided prior to manufacturing.

Complimentary digital bike fitting session from MyVeloFit
Set up your saddle and bike position correctly with the MyVeloFit digital fitting — included with your Joyseat. If anything still feels off, our team of experts can help fine-tune your setup or recommend next steps. -
Upgradeable 3D-printed padding
If your riding preferences change over time, or if you wish to adjust the characteristics of the 3D-printed padding, we offer a paid padding reprint service. The 3D-printed padding is reprinted according to updated specifications agreed upon with you.
Service fee: €150 / 3,750 CZK / 180 USD / 130 GBP + shipping costs. -
Crash replacement
Joyseat pushes limits in cycling — and sometimes the ground pushes back. Crashes can happen. If your Joyseat is mechanically damaged in a crash, we are here to help. Through our Crash Replacement service, we may offer you a new custom Joyseat at 50% of the original price. Each case is assessed individually — just let us know at hello@posedla.com.
Warranty claim key points:
- Warranty period for the saddle is 24 months from delivery.
- To start a claim, fill out a form on our website or email us at hello@posedla.com.
- We'll evaluate the claim and, if necessary, ask for the saddle to be returned for inspection.
- Manufacturing tolerance on custom products: Minor dimensional deviations (up to ±0.2 mm for carbon rails and up to ±0.5 mm for TPU padding) are inherent to manual layup and the manufacturing process and are not considered a defect under this warranty.
- We aim to respond within 3 working days of receiving the returned item.
- If accepted, we'll fix the defect, replace the product with a new one, offer a reasonable discount, or let you withdraw from the contract.
- We aim to complete any remedies within 30 days.
Additional Customization for Unique Needs
- Ultra-Customization Service: Special saddle adjustments are available for an additional fee of 100 EUR (e.g., for injuries, asymmetries, or biomechanical issues).
- Scope of Service: Includes additional time of a parametric designer and detailed consultations and analysis of professional inputs (e.g., CT scans, bike fitting data, or pressure mapping).
- Approval Before Production: Detailed specifications (Joysheet) are provided for approval before production begins.
- Non-Refundable: Due to the highly tailored design, the fee is non-refundable and excluded from the 100% Confidence & Care program.

These Terms govern purchases made via our e-shop across our domains (including local/region-specific domains) operated as a single store.
2) Scope – two product categories

Custom Products – the Joyseat bicycle saddle manufactured to your measurements and inputs (contract for work).

Standard Goods – other non-custom items sold as finished goods (purchase agreement).
Where rules differ between Custom Products and Standard Goods, we label the section accordingly.
3) Accounts & use of the website (applies to all)

You may order with or without creating an account. If you create one, keep your login secure and your profile data accurate and up to date.

We may restrict, suspend, or cancel an account if it is unused for over 12 months or if our Terms are breached.

The web content is informational; displaying a product on the website is not an offer to contract by itself.
4) Orders & contract formation (applies to all)

Placing an order: Complete the checkout form and click the final confirmation button. We will confirm receipt by email.

Acceptance: The contract is formed when we send you an order acceptance email.

Changes: If we can’t meet some part of your order, we may send an amended offer—your acceptance of the amended offer forms the contract.
Additional rules for Custom Products (Joyseat)

After payment and order acceptance, we send you a Smiling Butt Kit (SBK) with instructions. Follow them carefully; the kit is single-use.

If the kit arrives damaged, we’ll send a replacement without undue delay. If you misuse or destroy the kit, we may charge for a replacement kit and shipping.

You must send us the required SBK photos and inputs at your cost (where applicable). Once you submit the data, you cannot change the order or product parameters without our consent.

We begin manufacturing after we receive all required data.
5) Prices, payment, taxes & currencies (applies to all)

Prices are shown including VAT for EU/EEA deliveries. For deliveries outside the EU/EEA, prices are shown excluding VAT and other import charges (which you must pay per your local rules).

We accept cashless payments via Shopify Payments (card acceptance).

Currencies: We charge in CZK, EUR, USD, or GBP depending on your domain/region and checkout selection. Final invoices are issued electronically to your email.

Unless stated otherwise for a specific product, payment is due within 7 days of contract formation. For Custom Products, we do not start performance (SBK dispatch or production) until full payment is received.

EU business customers who need reverse charge invoicing must contact us before purchase; we cannot adjust invoices after purchase.

6) Delivery & risk of loss (applies to all)

Standard timeline: 3–4 weeks for Custom Products, counted from the moment we receive all required production materials from you. For pre-orders explicitly marked as such, or during busy times. The timeline may be longer.

We will notify you when your order is ready to ship or collect. Check the package upon delivery; if it appears tampered with, you may refuse delivery and notify the carrier and us.

Shipping costs are shown at checkout. Risk of loss passes when we hand over the goods to the carrier, unless mandatory law says otherwise.

If we must redeliver due to reasons on your side, you are responsible for the resulting costs.

7) Your obligations for Custom Products (materials deadline)

You must provide all inputs needed for production (e.g., SBK photos, configurator data) within 12 months of order confirmation.

We will remind you at least three times during this period (including at least one reminder no later than one month before the deadline).

If you do not provide the materials in time, the contract is deemed fulfilled by us and no refund is due, unless we agree otherwise individually. We may exceptionally extend the 12-month period upon your written request and our confirmation.
8) 100% Confidence & Care
The 100% Confidence & Care Program is a set of support services provided in connection with the purchase of a custom Joyseat saddle. The program is designed to support you before and after production and to help you achieve the best possible fit and long-term satisfaction.
8.1 Customer Support
Customers have access to Posedla support throughout the production and post-delivery period via email, phone, chat, or online meeting (booking). We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 3 working days.
8.2 Smiling Butt Kit (Sit bones measurement process)
The Smiling Butt Kit (SBK) enables us to measure the distance between your sit bones to the nearest millimeter based on the impression provided. Accurate results depend on proper use of the kit and correct submission of photo documentation according to our instructions.
8.3 Pre-Production Specification Preview
Before production begins, you will receive your specifications and a visual preview of your custom saddle (Joysheet). You will first receive an email with your measured sit bone distance and an estimated saddle width based on your submitted data.
You have 48 hours from the delivery of this email (sit bones measurement) to notify us of any objections or data-related corrections.
If no response is received within this period, the measurement and derived width are deemed approved.
The final Saddle Birth Certificate (Joysheet), including a visual preview of your custom saddle, is provided prior to manufacturing.
8.4 Complimentary Digital Bike Fitting Session with MyVeloFit
Each Joyseat includes access to a complimentary digital bike fitting session provided through the MyVeloFit platform. The access code is valid for 8 weeks from the moment you receive it. If further assistance is needed after completing the digital fitting, our team may provide additional guidance regarding saddle setup.
The MyVeloFit service is provided by an independent third-party partner and is subject to their own terms and technical requirements.
8.5 Post-Delivery Setup Support & Follow-Up
After completing the complimentary digital bike fitting session with MyVeloFit, customers may contact us if further questions or comfort-related concerns arise. Where appropriate, we may ask you to provide additional information (e.g. photos, short video recordings, or fitting data) in order to better understand your setup. This post-delivery support is advisory in nature and does not constitute a guarantee of subjective comfort.
If, after setup optimization and consultation, you wish to adjust the padding characteristics (e.g. firmness preference), you may use our Upgradeable 3D-Printed Padding Service as described in Section 8.6.
8.6 Upgradeable 3D-Printed Padding Service
If your riding preferences change over time, or if you wish to adjust the characteristics of the 3D-printed padding, we offer a paid padding reprint service. Under this service, the original saddle shell is retained (subject to inspection) and the 3D-printed padding is reprinted according to updated specifications agreed upon with you.
Service fee: €150 / 3,750 CZK / 180 USD / 130 GBP + shipping costs.
The service is subject to inspection of the original saddle. If the shell is damaged or structurally compromised, the service may not be available. This service is optional, provided outside the warranty framework, and does not constitute a defect remedy.
9) Crash Replacement (Goodwill Program)
Joyseat is built to perform at a high level — but we understand that crashes can happen. If your Joyseat saddle is mechanically damaged as a result of a crash, you may contact us at hello@posedla.com and provide a description of the incident together with clear photo documentation of the damage. We will respond within 3 working days and review your case individually.
Depending on the extent and nature of the damage, we may offer one of the following solutions:

Component replacement – if only a specific part of the saddle is damaged (e.g. shell or 3D-printed padding), we may offer replacement of the affected component for an agreed price.

Replacement saddle – if the damage is extensive, we may offer a new custom Joyseat at 50% of the original purchase price.
This Crash Replacement program is a goodwill service and does not constitute a warranty claim.
10) Region-specific withdrawal/cancellation rules (Custom Products)
Custom Products are made specifically for you. Once production has started, comfort-based returns or cancellations are no longer possible. You may withdraw only before production has started — that means before you send us your Smiling Butt Kit photos and configurator data, and before we confirm that your saddle is ready for manufacturing.
10.1 EU customers
You have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of placing the order.
If the Smiling Butt Kit has already been shipped, you must return it at your own expense.
After 14 days and before production starts, you may still withdraw, but we will deduct the actual costs already incurred — including the value of the Smiling Butt Kit, shipping, and payment processing fees.
Once production has started (i.e. after you submit your Smiling Butt Kit photos and configurator data), withdrawal is no longer possible because the product is custom-made specifically for you.
10.2 Non-EU customers
You may withdraw before production starts (i.e. before submitting your Smiling Butt Kit photos and configurator data). In that case, we will deduct the value of the Smiling Butt Kit, shipping, and payment processing fees.
Once production has started, withdrawal is no longer possible.
10.3 Duration of active orders
If you do not provide the required production materials within 12 months of order confirmation, the contract is considered fulfilled and withdrawal or refund is no longer possible unless we agree otherwise.
11) Right to withdraw (Standard Goods only)
For non-custom items bought remotely, consumers may withdraw within 14 days after delivery. Return items unused, undamaged, complete, and properly packaged. You pay the return shipping. Some items cannot be returned (e.g., goods made to your specifications; perishable goods; goods removed from sealed packaging for hygiene reasons). If a gift card was used, refunds are issued back to a gift card. We refund within 14 days of your withdrawal—but not before items are returned or you provide proof of dispatch. We may offset compensation for any diminished value due to handling beyond what is necessary to examine the goods.
12) Warranty & defects (applies to all)

Coverage: 24-month warranty from delivery against manufacturing defects.

What’s not covered: Misuse; installation errors; using the product contrary to instructions; subsequent modifications; damage from external events after risk passes; normal wear and tear; minor differences in color or dimensions vs. images; issues caused by incorrect or unusable SBK data or photos.

Process: Notify us promptly (email hello@posedla.com). For Custom Products, we may request photos first and/or ask you to send the product for inspection. We aim to respond within 3 working days of receiving the returned item.

Remedies: We may repair the defect, replace the product, provide a reasonable discount, or allow contract withdrawal consistent with the rules above. We aim to complete any remedies within 30 days.
13) Consumer information, complaints & dispute resolution (applies to all)

EU online dispute resolution (ODR) platform is available; national authorities such as the Czech Trade Inspection Authority and the European Consumer Centre Czech Republic can also assist, as required by law.
14) Intellectual property (applies to all)
Title to Custom Products passes on delivery. However, any templates, designs, measurement outputs, and manufacturing processes remain our exclusive intellectual property; no license is granted beyond normal product use. Do not copy, reverse-engineer, or otherwise exploit our manufacturing processes or designs.
15) Personal data (applies to all)
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy available on our websites. Production data and SBK outputs are stored only as necessary to manufacture and support your product and will not be shared except for contract performance and as required by law.
16) Governing law, jurisdiction & language
If an international element is involved, the parties agree that Czech law applies and disputes are resolved by competent Czech courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. These Terms are available in multiple languages; in case of conflict, the Czech version prevails.
17) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your rights and obligations arising while a previous version was in effect are not affected. The current version is available on our websites and may also be provided on request.
