After ordering your Joyseat, you will receive a measuring kit by means of which we gather the most accurate information about the width of your sit bones. Now strip down to your underwear, create an imprint of your butt, take a set of pictures and upload it into the configurator. 1) What is the Smiling Butt Kit, and why do I need it?

It’s our at-home sit-bone impression kit. It helps us capture your sit bone width (and a real imprint) so we can build your Joyseat around your anatomy—not a generic size chart.

2) How does the Smiling Butt Kit work?

You’ll follow a quick set of steps to make an imprint and measure your sit bones. Combine that with your answers in the online configurator (riding style, flexibility, discipline, etc.), and our system can dial in your saddle’s size, shape, and padding stiffness.

3) Is it hard to use? What if I mess it up?

It’s designed to be simple, and you don’t need any special skills—just a few minutes and a bit of patience. And if something looks off, our support team can help you check it before your saddle goes into production.

4) How long does it take, and when will I get my saddle?

The kit itself is quick to do once it arrives. After you send us the results, we start the custom build. (Lead times depend on the Joyseat model—your kit ships first, and your saddle follows after production.)

5) Do I still need a bike fit if I use the Smiling Butt Kit?

The kit is about your anatomy and how you ride. A bike fit is about your position on the bike. They can work beautifully together—especially if you’re chasing long-ride comfort or trying to solve stubborn pressure points.
